We would like to inform you that the CYPRUS 2016 4th International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management will be held in Limassol, Cyprus from 23rd to 25th June 2016. The Conference is organized by the National Technical University of Athens, the Cyprus University of Technology, the Department of Environment of Cyprus, the University of Verona & the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela.
Authors wishing to submit a paper should send an abstract to the Scientific Secretariat, Dr. K. Moustakas (konmoust@central.ntua.gr) by 31st December 2015.
Τhe best CYPRUS 2016 papers will be published after evaluation in a Special Issue of WASTE & BIOMASS VALORIZATION (Springer Editions) (http://www.springer.com/engineering/journal/12649) in collaboration with Prof. Ange Nzihou, Editor of the Journal & Prof. Maria Loizidou, Guest Editor & Co-Chair of the Scientific Committee. More collaborating journals will soon be announced.
Georges Kremlis (European Commission, DG Environment), Carmen Mena Abela (European Commission, EASME), David Newman (ISWA), Ange Nzihou (Ecole des Mines d’Albi), Chris Cheeseman (Imperial College), Rafael Luque (Universidad de Córdoba), Stephen Smith (Imperial College), Siegfried Vlaeminck (University of Antwerp), Francisco Omil (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela), Francesco Fatone (University of Verona), Costas Costa (Cyprus University of Technology) & Maria Loizidou (National Technical University of Athens) will be keynote speakers of the Conference.
There is no registration fee. Advanced registration at http://www.cyprus2016.uest.gr/index.php/conference/register is strongly recommended in order to have detailed data about the number of participants for the Social Events (http://www.cyprus2016.uest.gr/index.php/conference/social-events). The excursion will also include visit to a facility for the treatment of livestock waste (LIFE+ LIVEWASTE project: www.livewaste.org).
A HORIZON2020 session will be included in the oral sessions with the presence of EC representatives.
